The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lower garment should reach to the middle of the shin." When he saw how difficult this was for the Muslims, he said, "To the ankles, then. There is no good in whatever is below that."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا حميد
قال رسول الله ﷺ الإزار إلى نصف الساق فلما رأى شدة ذلك على المسلمين قال إلى الكعبين لا خير فيما أسفل من ذلك
