A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was on the pulpit and said, "Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to send us rain."So he prayed for rain, and we could not see a single Qaza in the sky. Then it began to rain upon us, and it did not let up.When the next Friday came, that same man, or someone else, stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to lift it from us."So he prayed, and I began to watch the clouds part to the right and to the left, with not a drop of rain falling from their midst.
حدثنا عفان وبهز قالا حدثنا همام حدثنا قتادة
أن رجلا أتى النبي ﷺ وهو على المنبر فقال يا رسول الله استسق الله لنا قال فاستسقى وما نرى في السماء قزعة قال فأمطرنا فما جعلت تقلع فلما أتت الجمعة قام إليه ذلك الرجل أو غيره فقال يا رسول الله ادع الله أن يرفعها عنا قال فدعا فجعلت أنظر إلى السحاب يسفر يمينا وشمالا ولا يمطر من جوفها قطرة
