Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection the believers will be detained and will become distressed by that. They will say, 'If only we could seek intercession with our Lord so that He would grant us relief from where we stand.'So they will come to Adam and say, 'You are our father. Allah created you with His own hand, made His angels prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things. Intercede for us with your Lord.'He will reply, 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention the sin he committed when he ate from the tree, though he had been forbidden to do so. 'But go to Nuh, the first prophet whom Allah sent to the people of the earth.'So they will come to Nuh, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his sin, that he asked Allah about something of which he had no knowledge. 'But go to Ibrahim, the friend of the Most Merciful .'So they will come to Ibrahim, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his sin, the three statements he made that were not strictly true. His saying, 'I am sick,' and his saying, 'Rather, this large one of them did it,' and the time he came upon a tyrannical, arrogant ruler accompanied by his wife and said to her, 'Tell him I am your brother, for I am going to tell him you are my sister.' 'But go to Musa, a servant to whom Allah spoke directly and gave the Torah.'So they will come to Musa, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that,' and he will mention his sin, the man he killed. 'But go to Isa, the servant of Allah, His messenger, His word, and a spirit from Him.'So they will come to Isa, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that. But go to Muhammad, a servant of Allah and His messenger whose past and future sins have been forgiven.'So they will come to me, and I will seek permission to enter my Lord's presence in His abode, and I will be granted permission. When I see Him, I will fall down in prostration. He will leave me as long as He wills, then He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak and you will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted. Ask and you will be given.'So I will raise my head and praise my Lord with words of praise and glorification that He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me. I will bring them out and admit them into Paradise."I heard him say, "I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them into Paradise.Then I will seek permission to enter my Lord's presence a second time, and I will be granted permission. When I see Him, I will fall down in prostration. He will leave me as long as He wills, then He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak and you will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted. Ask and you will be given.'So I will raise my head and praise my Lord with words of praise and glorification that He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me. I will bring them out and admit them into Paradise."Hammam said, "I also heard him say, 'I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them into Paradise.'"He said, "Then I will seek permission to enter my Lord's presence a third time. When I see my Lord, I will fall down in prostration. He will leave me as long as He wills, then He will say, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak and you will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted. Ask and you will be given.'So I will raise my head and praise my Lord with words of praise and glorification that He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me. I will bring them out and admit them into Paradise."Hammam said, "I heard him say, 'I will bring them out of the Fire and admit them into Paradise. Then no one will remain in the Fire except those whom the Quran has confined,'" meaning those upon whom eternal punishment has been decreed.Then Qatada recited "It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praiseworthy station" [Isra 17:79]. He said, "This is the praiseworthy station that Allah promised His Prophet ﷺ."

عن أنس بن مالك

أن النبي ﷺ قال يحبس المؤمنون يوم القيامة فيهتمون لذلك فيقولون لو استشفعنا على ربنا عز وجل فيريحنا من مكاننا فيأتون آدم فيقولون أنت أبونا خلقك الله بيده وأسجد لك ملائكته وعلمك أسماء كل شيء فاشفع لنا إلى ربك قال فيقول لست هناكم ويذكر خطيئته التي أصاب أكله من الشجرة وقد نهي عنها ولكن ائتوا نوحا أول نبي بعثه الله إلى أهل الأرض قال فيأتون نوحا فيقول لست هناكم ويذكر خطيئته سؤاله الله عز وجل بغير علم ولكن ائتوا إبراهيم خليل الرحمن عز وجل فيأتون إبراهيم فيقول لست هناكم ويذكر خطيئته التي أصاب ثلاث كذبات كذبهن قوله إني سقيم وقوله بل فعله كبيرهم هذا وأتى على جبار مترف ومعه امرأته فقال أخبريه أني أخوك فإني مخبره أنك أختي ولكن ائتوا موسى عبدا كلمه الله تكليما وأعطاه التوراة قال فيأتون موسى فيقول لست هناكم ويذكر خطيئته التي أصاب قتله الرجل ولكن ائتوا عيسى عبد الله ورسوله وكلمة الله وروحه فيأتون عيسى فيقول لست هناكم ولكن ائتوا محمدا عبد الله ورسوله غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر قال فيأتوني فأستأذن على ربي عز وجل في داره فيؤذن لي عليه فإذا رأيته وقعت ساجدا فيدعني ما شاء الله أن يدعني ثم يقول ارفع رأسك يا محمد وقل تسمع واشفع تشفع وسل تعط قال فأرفع رأسي فأحمد ربي عز وجل بثناء وتحميد يعلمنيه ثم أشفع فيحد لي حدا فأخرجهم فأدخلهم الجنة وسمعته يقول فأخرجهم من النار وأدخلهم الجنة ثم أستأذن على ربي عز وجل الثانية فيؤذن لي عليه فإذا رأيته وقعت ساجدا فيدعني ما شاء الله أن يدعني ثم يقول ارفع رأسك محمد وقل تسمع واشفع تشفع وسل تعط قال فأرفع رأسي وأحمد ربي بثناء وتحميد يعلمنيه ثم أشفع فيحد لي حدا فأخرجهم فأدخلهم الجنة قال همام وأيضا سمعته يقول فأخرجهم من النار فأدخلهم الجنة قال ثم أستأذن على ربي عز وجل الثالثة فإذا رأيت ربي وقعت ساجدا فيدعني ما شاء الله أن يدعني ثم يقول ارفع محمد وقل تسمع واشفع تشفع وسل تعط فأرفع رأسي فأحمد ربي بثناء وتحميد يعلمنيه ثم أشفع فيحد لي حدا فأخرج فأدخلهم الجنة قال همام وسمعته يقول فأخرجهم من النار فأدخلهم الجنة فلا يبقى في النار إلا من حبسه القرآن أي وجب عليه الخلود ثم تلا قتادة {عسى أن يبعثك ربك مقاما محمودا} قال هو المقام المحمود الذي وعد الله عز وجل نبيه ﷺ
