Anas bin Malik reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite this verse, "And you do not will except that Allah wills" and "He is worthy of being feared and worthy of granting forgiveness." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your Lord says, 'I am worthy of being feared, that none be set up as a god alongside Me. And whoever refrains from setting up another god alongside Me is worthy that I forgive him.'"

حدثنا سريج حدثنا سهيل أخو ابن أبي حزم القطعي قال حدثني ثابت البناني قال سمعت

أنس بن مالك يقول

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ قرأ هذه الآية {وما تشاءون إلا أن يشاء الله} {هو أهل التقوى وأهل المغفرة} فقال رسول الله ﷺ يقول ربكم عز وجل أنا أهل أن أتقى أن يجعل معي إلها آخر ومن اتقى أن يجعل معي إلها آخر فهو أهل لأن أغفر له
