The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Madinah is sacred from such-and-such to such-and-such. Whoever introduces an innovation in it or shelters one who does so, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. Allah will accept from him neither obligatory worship nor voluntary."Hammad said that Humayd added in his version, "No weapon is to be carried in it for fighting."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال المدينة حرام من كذا إلى كذا من أحدث فيها حدثا أو آوى محدثا فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين لا يقبل الله منه صرفا ولا عدلا قال حماد وزاد فيها حميد لا يحمل فيها سلاح لقتال
