Some Jews came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Death be upon you."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "And upon you."Ayesha said, "Death be upon you, brothers of apes and pigs, and may the curse of Allah and His wrath fall upon you."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Ayesha, enough."She replied, "Messenger of Allah, did you not hear what they said?"He answered, "Did you not hear what I said back to them? Ayesha, gentleness never enters into anything without adorning it, and it is never stripped from anything without disgracing it."
