Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, a man from the people of Paradise will be brought forward, and Allah will say to him, 'Son of Adam, how did you find your dwelling?'He will reply, 'My Lord, the finest of dwellings.'Allah will say to him, 'Ask and wish for whatever you want.'He will say, 'I ask and wish for nothing except that You return me to the world so that I may be killed,' for he had seen the excellence of martyrdom.Then a man from the people of the Fire will be brought forward, and Allah will say to him, 'Son of Adam, how did you find your dwelling?'He will reply, 'My Lord, the worst of dwellings.'Allah will say, 'Would you ransom yourself from it with an earth full of gold?'He will say, 'Yes, my Lord.'Allah will say, 'You lie. I asked you for something less than that and you did not do it.'So he will be sent back to the Fire."

حدثنا حسن حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت البناني

عن أنس بن مالك

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يؤتى برجل يوم القيامة من أهل الجنة فيقول الله عز وجل يا ابن آدم كيف وجدت منزلك فيقول أي رب خير منزل فيقول له سل وتمنه فيقول ما أسأل وأتمنى إلا أن تردني إلى الدنيا فأقتل لما رأى من فضل الشهادة قال ثم يؤتى برجل من أهل النار فيقول له يا ابن آدم كيف وجدت منزلك فيقول أي رب شر منزل فيقول أتفتدي منه بطلاع الأرض ذهبا فيقول نعم أي رب فيقول كذبت قد سألتك ما هو أقل من ذلك فلم تفعل فيرد إلى النار
