Abu Haya Wadi reported,

I saw Ali urinate in the open courtyard, then call for water and perform ablution. He washed his hands three times, rinsed his mouth and nose three times, washed his face three times, washed each forearm three times, wiped his head, and washed each foot three times. Then he said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do exactly as you have seen me do."

عن أبي حية الوادعي قال

رأيت عليا رضي الله عنه بال في الرحبة ثم دعا بماء فتوضأ فغسل كفيه ثلاثا وتمضمض واستنشق ثلاثا وغسل وجهه ثلاثا وغسل ذراعيه ثلاثا ثلاثا ومسح برأسه وغسل قدميه ثلاثا ثلاثا ثم قال رأيت رسول الله ﷺ فعل كالذي رأيتموني فعلت
