We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then return home for our midday rest and take our nap.
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن محمد بن إسحاق قال حدثني حميد الطويل
كنا نصلي مع رسول الله ﷺ الجمعة ثم نرجع إلى القائلة فنقيل
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Bukhari 2/428, no. 940, Fath, in "Friday," the chapter on taking a nap after Friday, in Muslim 2/588, no. 859, in "Friday," the chapter on the Friday prayer when the sun begins to decline, and in Abu Dawud 2/284, no. 1086, in "Prayer," the chapter on the time of Friday prayer.
