The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade visiting graves, eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and preparing nabidh in gourds, hollowed stumps, green earthenware jars, and pitch-coated vessels.Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ later said, "I had forbidden you three things, but then it occurred to me to permit them.I forbade you from visiting graves, but it has occurred to me that visiting them softens the heart, brings tears to the eye, and reminds one of the hereafter. So visit them, but do not utter improper speech.I forbade you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three nights, but it has occurred to me that people present such meat as a gift to their guests and keep some aside for those who are absent. So keep of it whatever you wish.And I forbade you from preparing nabidh in those vessels. Now drink from whatever vessels you wish, but do not drink any intoxicant. Whoever wishes may tie up his waterskin upon sin."
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق حدثني يحيى بن الحارث الجابر عن عبد الوارث مولى أنس بن مالك وعمرو بن عامر
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن زيارة القبور وعن لحوم الأضاحي بعد ثلاث وعن النبيذ في الدباء والنقير والحنتم والمزفت قال ثم قال رسول الله ﷺ بعد ذلك ألا إني قد كنت نهيتكم عن ثلاث ثم بدا لي فيهن نهيتكم عن زيارة القبور ثم بدا لي أنها ترق القلب وتدمع العين وتذكر الآخرة فزوروها ولا تقولوا هجرا ونهيتكم عن لحوم الأضاحي أن تأكلوها فوق ثلاث ليال ثم بدا لي أن الناس يتحفون ضيفهم ويخبئون لغائبهم فأمسكوا ما شئتم ونهيتكم عن النبيذ في هذه الأوعية فاشربوا بما شئتم ولا تشربوا مسكرا فمن شاء أوكأ سقاءه على إثم
