There were some young men in Madinah who were called the reciters, and he then mentioned the same meaning.
حدثنا أسود بن عامر قال حدثنا شريك عن حميد الطويل
كانت فتية بالمدينة يقال لهم القراء فذكر معناه
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Bakr is Ibn Ayyash, and the hadith has already been mentioned.
