The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade iqaa and tawarruk during the prayer.Abdullah said, "My father had abandoned this hadith."

Its chain of transmission is sahih. It has already been mentioned that the scholars differed over accepting Yahya bin Ishaq's sole transmission of this hadith. The meaning of Imam Ahmad having abandoned this hadith is that he did not act upon it, while Abu Hanifa and Malik did act upon it, and each had his own independent reasoning.
