The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead us in the afternoon prayer while the sun was still bright and high. I would then return to my people, who lived on the outskirts of Medina, and find them sitting. I would say to them, "Get up and pray, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has already prayed."
