The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Asr prayer at such a time that a person could go to the tribe of Banu Haritha bin Harith and return before sunset, and at such a time that a man could slaughter a camel and cut it into portions before sunset. He used to pray the Friday prayer when the sun had passed its zenith. When he set out for Mecca, he would pray the Zuhr prayer at Shajarah as two units.

أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصلي العصر بقدر ما يذهب الذاهب إلى بني حارثة بن الحارث ويرجع قبل غروب الشمس وبقدر ما ينحر الرجل الجزور ويبعضها لغروب الشمس وكان يصلي الجمعة حين تميل الشمس وكان إذا خرج إلى مكة صلى الظهر بالشجرة ركعتين
