The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When my Lord took me on the night journey, I passed by a people who had nails of copper with which they were tearing at their faces and chests. I asked, 'Who are these, Jibreel?' He replied, 'These are those who consume the flesh of others and attack their honor.'"
حدثنا أبو المغيرة حدثنا صفوان حدثني راشد بن سعد وعبد الرحمن بن جبير
قال رسول الله ﷺ لما عرج بي ربي عز وجل مررت بقوم لهم أظفار من نحاس يخمشون وجوههم وصدورهم فقلت من هؤلاء يا جبريل قال هؤلاء الذين يأكلون لحوم الناس ويقعون في أعراضهم
Its isnad is sahih, all its narrators are from Homs, Safwan bin Amr Saksaki, Rashid bin Saad Muqrai, and Abdul-Rahman bin Jubayr bin Nufayr, and the hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud in 4/269, no. 4878, in the chapter on manners, backbiting.
