Ikrima reported,

I stood with Husayn and kept hearing him say, "Labbayk," until he threw the pebbles at the jamrah.I asked, "Abu Abdullah, what is this calling out?"He replied, "I heard Ali bin Abu Talib calling it out until he reached the jamrah, and he told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called it out until he reached it."

حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي عن محمد بن إسحاق حدثني أبان بن صالح

عن عكرمة قال

وقفت مع الحسين فلم أزل أسمعه يقول لبيك حتى رمى الجمرة فقلت يا أبا عبد الله ما هذا الإهلال قال سمعت علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه يهل حتى انتهى إلى الجمرة وحدثني أن رسول الله ﷺ أهل حتى انتهى إليها
