Anas bin Malik reported,

I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman , and they would begin the recitation with "All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds" [Fatihah 1:2], not mentioning "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" [Fatihah 1:1] at the beginning of the recitation or at its end.

صليت خلف رسول الله ﷺ وأبي بكر وعمر وعثمان رضي الله عنهم فكانوا يستفتحون القراءة ب {الحمد لله رب العالمين} لا يذكرون {بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم} في أول القراءة ولا في آخرها
