A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, a man loves another man but cannot match his deeds."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "A person will be with those he loves."Anas said, "I never saw the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rejoice at anything, after Islam itself, more than they rejoiced at this saying of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Anas added, "We love the Messenger of Allah ﷺ but cannot match his deeds, so if we are with him, that is enough for us."

جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله الرجل يحب الرجل ولا يستطيع أن يعمل كعمله فقال رسول الله ﷺ المرء مع من أحب فقال أنس فما رأيت أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ فرحوا بشيء قط إلا أن يكون الإسلام ما فرحوا بهذا من قول رسول الله ﷺ فقال أنس فنحن نحب رسول الله ﷺ ولا نستطيع أن نعمل كعمله فإذا كنا معه فحسبنا
