The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no person who lives forty years in Islam except that Allah turns away from him three kinds of afflictions, madness, leprosy, and vitiligo. When he reaches fifty, Allah makes his reckoning easy. When he reaches sixty, Allah grants him the gift of turning to Him in repentance with what He loves. When he reaches seventy, Allah loves him and the inhabitants of heaven love him. When he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and overlooks his bad deeds. When he reaches ninety, Allah forgives him his past and future sins, he is called the captive of Allah on His earth, and he is granted intercession for the people of his household."
حدثنا أنس بن عياض حدثني يوسف بن أبي ذرة الأنصاري عن جعفر بن عمرو بن أمية الضمري
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما من معمر يعمر في الإسلام أربعين سنة إلا صرف الله عنه ثلاثة أنواع من البلاء الجنون والجذام والبرص فإذا بلغ خمسين سنة لين الله عليه الحساب فإذا بلغ ستين رزقه الله الإنابة إليه بما يحب فإذا بلغ سبعين سنة أحبه الله وأحبه أهل السماء فإذا بلغ الثمانين قبل الله حسناته وتجاوز عن سيئاته فإذا بلغ تسعين غفر الله له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر وسمي أسير الله في أرضه وشفع لأهل بيته

Its chain is daif because of Yusuf bin Abu Burda Ansari, but despite its weakness, the hadith is accepted, since it falls under matters of encouragement and warning, and scholars have been lenient in accepting this type of narration. It is also supported by the hadith, "Whoever goes gray in Islam, or in the cause of Allah, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection." Tirmidhi narrated it, 4/172, no. 1635, and said it is hasan sahih. Nasai also narrated it at length in 6/26, in the Book of jihad, chapter on the reward of one who shoots an arrow, as did Abdul-Razzaq, 152, 9544, and Tabarani in Al-Kabir, 1/31, 18/304. On this basis, the wording rises to the level of hasan li-ghayrihi.
