Anas bin Malik reported,

When the people of Yemen came to the Prophet ﷺ, they said, "Send with us a man who can teach us the Book of our Lord and the Sunnah."So the Prophet ﷺ took Abu Ubayda by the hand, presented him to them, and said, "This man is the trustee of this nation."

لما قدم أهل اليمن على النبي ﷺ قالوا ابعث معنا رجلا يعلمنا كتاب ربنا والسنة قال فأخذ النبي ﷺ بيد أبي عبيدة فدفعه إليهم وقال هذا أمين هذه الأمة
