Umm Ayman wept when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away. She was asked, "What makes you weep for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"She replied, "I knew that the Prophet ﷺ would die, but I am weeping over the revelation that has been lifted from us."
حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا حماد عن ثابت
أن أم أيمن بكت لما قبض رسول الله ﷺ فقيل لها ما يبكيك على رسول الله ﷺ فقالت إني قد علمت أن النبي ﷺ سيموت ولكن إنما أبكي على الوحي الذي رفع عنا
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim also narrated it, 4/1907, no. 2454, in the virtues of the companions, virtues of Umm Ayman, and Ibn Majah, 1/523, no. 1635, in funerals, mention of his death and burial ﷺ.
