The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sacrifice two horned rams of mixed black and white color. He would slaughter them with his own hand, place his foot on their sides, mention the name of Allah, and say the takbir.

كان رسول الله ﷺ يضحي بكبشين أملحين أقرنين يذبحهما بيده ويضع رجله على صفاحهما ويسمي ويكبر
