He saw a silver ring on the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for one day. Then the people rushed to make silver rings and wore them. So the Prophet ﷺ threw away his ring, and the people threw away their rings as well.
حدثنا روح حدثنا ابن جريج وعبد الله بن الحارث عن ابن جريج قال أخبرني زياد يعني ابن سعد أن ابن شهاب أخبره
أنه رأى في يد رسول الله ﷺ خاتما من ورق يوما واحدا ثم إن الناس اضطربوا الخواتيم من ورق ولبسوها فطرح النبي ﷺ خاتمه فطرح الناس خواتيمهم
