When we had buried the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and returned, Fatimah said, "Anas, were you content in your hearts to bury the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the earth and walk away?"
حدثنا يزيد حدثنا حماد بن زيد حدثنا ثابت البناني
فلما دفنا رسول الله ﷺ ورجعنا قالت فاطمة يا أنس أطابت أنفسكم أن دفنتم رسول الله ﷺ في التراب ورجعتم
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related the hadith 8/149, no. 4462, in Fath al-Bari, in the book of military expeditions, chapter on the illness of the Prophet ﷺ. Ibn Majah related it 1/522, no. 1630, in the book of funerals, chapter mentioning his death and burial. And Darimi related it 1/54, no. 87, in the introduction, chapter on the death of the Prophet ﷺ.
