The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There will arise in my nation disagreement and division. A group will emerge from among them who recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their throats. Their distinguishing mark is shaving the head and cropping the hair short. Whenever you encounter them, put them down."Tasbeet means cutting the hair very short.
حدثنا إبراهيم بن خالد حدثنا رباح حدثنا معمر عن قتادة
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يكون في أمتي اختلاف وفرقة يخرج منهم قوم يقرءون القرآن لا يجاوز تراقيهم سيماهم الحلق والتسبيت فإذا رأيتموهم فأنيموهم التسبيت يعني استئصال الشعر القصير
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibrahim bin Khalid bin Ubayd Qurashi Sanani, the muezzin, and Rabah, who is Ibn Zayd Sanani, are both trustworthy and virtuous. The hadith has already appeared at 11557 in fuller form than this.
