There was a heavyset man from the Ansar who was unable to pray with the Prophet ﷺ. He said to the Prophet ﷺ, "I am unable to pray with you." So he prepared some food for him and invited the Prophet ﷺ. They spread out a mat for him and sprinkled it with water, and he prayed two rakahs upon it.A man from the family of Jarud asked him, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the Duha prayer?"He replied, "I never saw him pray it except on that day."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا شعبة أخبرنا أنس بن سيرين قال سمعت
كان من الأنصار ضخم لا يستطيع أن يصلي مع النبي ﷺ فقال للنبي ﷺ إني لا أستطيع أن أصلي معك فصنع له طعاما ودعا النبي ﷺ وبسطوا له حصيرا ونضحوه فصلى عليه ركعتين فقال له رجل من آل الجارود أكان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي الضحى قال ما رأيته صلاها إلا يومئذ
