The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not raise his hands in any of his supplications, and Yahya once said, in any supplication, except in the prayer for rain, in which he would raise his hands until the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.
حدثنا يحيى حدثنا ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة أن
لم يكن رسول الله ﷺ يرفع يديه في شيء من دعائه وقال يحيى مرة من الدعاء إلا في الاستسقاء فإنه كان يرفع يديه حتى يرى بياض إبطيه
Its isnad is sahih. The scholars have discussed this narration, for there are many sahih narrations indicating that the Prophet ﷺ used to raise his hands in supplication, and many of them have already passed by us. See 11958.
