The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, and the people of Medina had two days during which they would play and celebrate. He said, "I have come to you, and you have two days on which you celebrate. Allah has replaced them for you with two better days, the day of Fitr and the day of Nahr."
حدثنا سهل بن يوسف يعني المسمعي عن حميد ويزيد بن هارون أخبرنا حميد
قدم رسول الله ﷺ المدينة ولأهل المدينة يومان يلعبون فيهما فقال قدمت عليكم ولكم يومان تلعبون فيهما فإن الله قد أبدلكم يومين خيرا منهما يوم الفطر ويوم النحر
