The people kept questioning the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until they pressed him with their questions. So one day he ascended the pulpit and said, "Ask me about anything, and I will explain it to you."Anas said, "I began to look right and left, and there was every man wrapping his head in his garment, weeping."Then a man who, whenever he quarreled, was accused of belonging to someone other than his father, spoke up and asked, "Messenger of Allah, who is my father?"He replied, "Your father is Hudhafah."Abu Amir said, I think he said that another man asked, "Messenger of Allah, am I in Paradise or in the Fire?"He answered, "In the Fire."Then Umar spoke up and said, "We are content with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Prophet. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of trials."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have never seen good and evil as I have seen today. Paradise and the Fire were depicted for me until I saw them right before the wall."
