I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, and I do not know whether it was something revealed or something he used to say on his own, "If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would long for, or seek, a third. Nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah turns in mercy to whoever turns to Him in repentance."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول ولا أدري أشيء أنزل أو كان يقوله لو أن لابن آدم واديين من مال لتمنى أو لابتغى واديا ثالثا ولا يملأ جوف ابن آدم إلا التراب ويتوب الله على من تاب
