I came to Anas bin Malik and said, "Abu Hamza, the distance is far, but we love to visit you when you are ill."He raised his head and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Any man who visits a sick person is wading through mercy, and when he sits beside the sick person, mercy engulfs him.'"I said, "Messenger of Allah, this is for the healthy person who visits the sick. What about the sick person himself?"He replied, "His sins are wiped away."
حدثنا حسن بن موسى قال سمعت هلال بن أبي داود الحبطي أبا هشام قال
أتيت أنس بن مالك فقلت يا أبا حمزة إن المكان بعيد ونحن يعجبنا أن نعودك فرفع رأسه فقال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول أيما رجل يعود مريضا فإنما يخوض في الرحمة فإذا قعد عند المريض غمرته الرحمة قال فقلت يا رسول الله هذا للصحيح الذي يعود المريض فالمريض ما له قال تحط عنه ذنوبه
