A man came in to see the Prophet ﷺ wearing a yellow dye, and the Prophet ﷺ disliked it. When the man got up and left, the Prophet ﷺ said to some of his companions, "If only you would tell this man to leave off this yellow dye." He said it two or three times.Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ rarely confronted a man directly with something he disliked about him."
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا حماد يعني ابن زيد عن سلم العلوي أنه
دخل على النبي ﷺ رجل وعليه صفرة فكرهها فلما قام الرجل قال النبي ﷺ لبعض أصحابه لو أمرتم هذا أن يدع هذه الصفرة قالها مرتين أو ثلاثا قال أنس وكان النبي ﷺ قلما يواجه الرجل بشيء يكرهه في وجهه
