The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, "O Allah, if You will, You shall not be worshipped on earth."
حدثنا عبد الصمد وعفان قالا حدثنا حماد حدثنا ثابت
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقول يوم أحد اللهم إنك إن تشأ أن لا تعبد في الأرض
Its chain of transmission is sahih, as previously mentioned. The hadith is found in Bukhari 6/79, in the tafsir, on the words of the Most High, "The multitude will be defeated" [Qamar 54:45]. And Muslim 3/1363, no. 1743, in the book of jihad, on the recommendation of supplicating for victory.
