The Prophet ﷺ would go out to the mosque, where the Muhajirun and the Ansar were gathered, and not one of them would raise his head from his sitting posture except Abu Bakr and Umar. He would smile at them, and they would smile at him.
حدثنا سليمان بن داود حدثنا ابن عطية يعني الحكم عن ثابت
كان النبي ﷺ يخرج إلى المسجد فيه المهاجرون والأنصار وما منهم أحد يرفع رأسه من حبوته إلا أبو بكر وعمر فيتبسم إليهما ويتبسمان إليه
