People, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must not sit at a table where wine is being passed around. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must not enter the bathhouse without a waist-wrap. And any woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day must not enter the bathhouse at all."
حدثنا هارون حدثنا ابن وهب حدثني عمرو بن الحارث أن عمر بن السائب حدثه أن القاسم بن أبي القاسم السبئي حدثه عن قاص الأجناد بالقسطنطينية أنه سمعه يحدث أن
يا أيها الناس إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يقعدن على مائدة يدار عليها بالخمر ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يدخل الحمام إلا بإزار ومن كانت تؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا تدخل الحمام
Its isnad is daif, due to the unknown status of the storyteller (qass) of Constantinople, who is unidentified. I could not identify him, though in Taajil he is named Abdullah bin Yazid, the storyteller of the garrisons in Constantinople, and then it is said, "I do not know him" (this is the statement of Husaini). Then the Hafiz followed up on this, saying that no name appears in the Musnad, but he does appear named as Abdullah bin Yazid, the storyteller of Maslamah in Constantinople, 6/27 in the Halabi edition. But despite this, he remains unidentified.Qasim bin Abu Qasim is trustworthy. Umar bin Saaib bin Abu Rashid Misri is trustworthy. Sabai, with the first letter (the undotted sa) having a fatha and the ba after it also having a fatha, followed by a hamza with no elongation, as the Hafiz stated in Taajil, 340.
