Hammad and al-Jad have mentioned it. He said, Umm Sulaym took half a mudd of barley and ground it. Then she took a small leather container that had a bit of clarified butter in it and made from it a porridge called khatifah. She then sent me to the Prophet ﷺ. I came to him while he was sitting with his companions and said, "Umm Sulaym has sent me to you, inviting you."He asked, "Along with those who are with me?"So he came along with those who were with him. I went in and said to Abu Talha, "The Prophet ﷺ has come along with those who are with him."Abu Talha went out and walked beside the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Messenger of Allah, it is only a khatifah that Umm Sulaym made from half a mudd of barley."The Prophet ﷺ entered, the food was brought to him, and he placed his hand in it. Then he said, "Let ten come in."Ten came in and ate until they were full. Then another ten came in and ate, then another ten ate, then another ten ate, until forty in all had eaten, every one of them eating his fill. Yet the food remained as it was. Then we ate as well.
