Hilal bin Umaya accused his wife of committing adultery with Sharik bin Sahma. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Watch her closely. If she gives birth to a child with curly hair, dark eyelids, and thin legs, then he belongs to Sharik bin Sahma. But if she gives birth to a child with fair skin, straight hair, and weak eyes, then he belongs to Hilal bin Umaya."She gave birth to a child with curly hair, dark eyelids, and thin legs.
حدثنا وهب بن جرير حدثنا هشام بن حسان عن محمد يعني ابن سيرين
أن هلال بن أمية قذف امرأته بشريك ابن سحماء فقال رسول الله ﷺ انظروها فإن جاءت به جعدا أكحل حمش الساقين فهو لشريك ابن سحماء وإن جاءت به أبيض سبطا قضيء العينين فهو لهلال بن أمية فجاءت به جعدا أكحل حمش الساقين
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated the hadith 2/1130, no. 1493, at the beginning of the chapter on liaan, Tirmidhi 3/497, no. 1202, in the chapter on divorce, in what has been said about liaan, and Nasai 6/175 narrated it similarly.
