The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every nation has a trustworthy one, and Abu Ubayda is the trustworthy one of this nation."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي حدثنا شعبة عن خالد عن أبي قلابة
عن النبي ﷺ قال لكل أمة أمين وأبو عبيدة أمين هذه الأمة
Its isnad is sahih. Azra is Ibn Thabit Ansari, and Thumama bin Abdullah is the grandson of Anas. Bukhari related the hadith, 3/205, in the Book of Gifts, chapter on what may not be returned of a gift, and Tirmidhi, 5/108, no. 2789, in the Book of Seeking Permission, chapter on the dislike of returning perfume, and he said, hasan sahih.
