The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Ubayy bin Kaab, "Allah has commanded me to recite to you, 'Those who disbelieved...' [Bayyinah 98:1]."Ubayy asked, "Did He mention me to you by name?"He replied, "Yes."So Ubayy wept.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة قال سمعت قتادة يحدث
قال رسول الله ﷺ لأبي بن كعب إن الله أمرني أن أقرأ عليك لم يكن الذين كفروا قال وسماني لك قال نعم فبكى
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Bukhari 6/217 in tafsir, virtues of Ubayy, and in Muslim 1/550 no. 799 in prayer of travelers, the recommendation of reciting the Quran to people of merit, and in Tirmidhi 1/665 no. 3792 in virtues, virtues of Muaz, Zayd, and Ubayy.
