A Persian neighbor of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to make delicious broth. He prepared some for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and came to invite him.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "And this one, meaning Ayesha?"The man said, "No."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No."Then the man came again to invite him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "And this one?"He said, "No."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No."Then he came a third time, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "And this one?"He said, "Yes," on the third time.So they both stood up and set off together until they reached his house.
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت
أن جارا لرسول الله ﷺ فارسيا كان طيب المرق فصنع لرسول الله ﷺ ثم جاءه يدعوه فقال وهذه لعائشة فقال لا فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا ثم عاد يدعوه فقال رسول الله ﷺ وهذه قال لا فقال رسول الله ﷺ وهذه قال نعم في الثالثة فقاما يتدافعان حتى أتيا منزله
Its isnad is sahih, and it is found in Muslim 3/1609, no. 2037, in the book of drinks, on what one should do about a guest who follows him. This Persian boy was a Muslim. Many pretenders to intellectualism boast that he was a Zoroastrian, so as to permit the mixing of neighbors, and this is a deliberate error on the part of some of them.
