Muhammad reported that Waqid was among the most handsome of people, the most imposing, and the tallest. He said, I went to visit Anas bin Malik, and he asked me, "Who are you?"I replied, "I am Waqid bin Amr bin Saad bin Muaz."He said, "You truly resemble Saad." Then he wept, and wept much, and said, "May Allah have mercy on Saad. He was among the most imposing of people and the tallest of them."Then he said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dispatched an army to Ukaydir of Dumah, and Ukaydir sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a robe of silk brocade interwoven with gold. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ put it on and stood upon the pulpit, or sat down, without speaking. Then he descended, and the people began to feel the robe and gaze at it.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Are you amazed by this?"They answered, "We have never seen a garment more beautiful than it."The Prophet ﷺ then said, "The handkerchiefs of Saad bin Muaz in Paradise are finer than what you see."
