The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the night I was taken on the night journey, I passed by a people whose lips were being cut with scissors of fire."I asked, "Who are these?"They replied, "Orators from the people of the world who used to command others to do good while neglecting themselves, even as they recited the Book. Do they not understand?"

قال رسول الله ﷺ مررت ليلة أسري بي على قوم تقرض شفاههم بمقاريض من نار قال قلت من هؤلاء قالوا خطباء من أهل الدنيا كانوا يأمرون الناس بالبر وينسون أنفسهم وهم يتلون الكتاب أفلا يعقلون
