Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "On the Day of Resurrection, the believers will gather together, and they will be inspired to say, 'If only we sought intercession with our Lord عز وجل so that He might relieve us from this place of ours.'So they will come to Adam عليه السلام and say, 'Adam, you are the father of humankind. Allah عز وجل created you with His own hand, made His angels prostrate to you, and taught you the names of everything. Intercede for us with our Lord عز وجل so that He may relieve us from this place of ours.'Adam will say to them, 'I am not the one for that.' He will mention the sin he committed and feel ashamed before his Lord عز وجل because of it. He will say, 'But go to Nuh, for he was the first messenger Allah sent to the people of the earth.'So they will come to Nuh, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that.' He will mention to them his mistake of asking his Lord عز وجل about something of which he had no knowledge, and he will feel ashamed before his Lord because of it. He will say, 'But go to Ibrahim, the friend of the Most Merciful عز وجل.'So they will come to Ibrahim, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that. But go to Musa عليه السلام, a servant to whom Allah spoke and to whom He gave the Torah.'So they will come to Musa, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that.' He will mention to them the soul he killed without right, and he will feel ashamed before his Lord because of it. He will say, 'But go to Isa, the servant of Allah, His messenger, His word, and a spirit from Him.'So they will come to Isa, and he will say, 'I am not the one for that. But go to Muhammad ﷺ, a servant whose past and future sins Allah has forgiven.'So they will come to me." Hasan said, "This is the wording." The Prophet ﷺ continued, "I will rise and walk between two ranks of the believers."Anas said, "Until I seek permission to approach my Lord عز وجل, and I will be granted permission. When I see my Lord, I will fall down prostrate before my Lord عز وجل, and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then it will be said, 'Raise your head, Muhammad. Speak, and you will be heard. Ask, and you will be given. Intercede, and your intercession will be accepted.' So I will raise my head and praise Him with words of praise He will teach me. Then I will intercede, and He will set a limit for me, and I will admit them into Paradise. Then I will return to Him a second time. When I see my Lord عز وجل, I will fall down prostrate before my Lord, and He will leave me as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then I will return to Him a third time. Then I will return a fourth time and say, 'My Lord, none remain except those whom the Quran has detained.'"Anas bin Malik then narrated to us that the Prophet ﷺ said, "There will come out of the Fire whoever said, 'There is no god but Allah,' and had in his heart goodness equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then there will come out of the Fire whoever said, 'There is no god but Allah,' and had in his heart goodness equal to the weight of a wheat grain. Then there will come out of the Fire whoever said, 'There is no god but Allah,' and had in his heart goodness equal to the weight of an atom."
