The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the qunut for a month after the bowing, supplicating against one of the Arab tribes, then he discontinued it.
حدثنا يحيى عن هشام عن قتادة
قنت رسول الله ﷺ شهرا بعد الركوع يدعو على حي من أحياء العرب ثم تركه
Its chain is sahih. Bukhari narrated the hadith in Fath al-Bari, 7/385, no. 4089, in the Book of Military Expeditions, the Expedition of Rajii, and Muslim in 1/465.
