Its isnad is sahih. Abu Tayah is Yazid bin Humayd Dubi, a trustworthy and firmly reliable narrator whose reports are frequently cited. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 4/34 in the book of jihad, chapter of "goodness is bound in the forelocks of horses," Muslim in the book of leadership, similarly, 3/1494 no. 1874, Nasai 6/221 no. 3571 in the book of horses, chapter of "the blessing of horses," and Bayhaqi 6/329.
