Abu Talha came on the day of Hunayn to make the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh about Umm Sulaym. He said, "Messenger of Allah, have you not seen Umm Sulaym? She has a dagger with her."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "What are you doing with it, Umm Sulaym?"She replied, "I intended that if any of them came near me, I would stab him with it."

جاء أبو طلحة يوم حنين يضحك رسول الله ﷺ من أم سليم قال يا رسول الله ألم تر إلى أم سليم معها خنجر فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ ما تصنعين به يا أم سليم قالت أردت إن دنا مني أحد منهم طعنته به
