The Prophet ﷺ and one of his wives would bathe from a single vessel. He used to bathe with five makaakee of water and perform ablution with one makkook.
Its isnad is sahih. Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Jubr, also said to be bin Jabir or Ibn Jubayr, the Ansari, is trustworthy. Muslim narrated the hadith with similar wording, 1/257, no. 325, in the chapter on menstruation, on the recommended amount of water, and Ibn Abu Shayba, 1/36, in the chapter on purification, on a man and a woman bathing from a single vessel.
