Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, entered some ruins belonging to Banu Najjar to relieve himself, then came out to us alarmed, or frightened, and said, "Were it not that you would cease to bury one another, I would have asked Allah to make you hear of the torment of the people of the graves what I have heard."

حدثنا سفيان قال سمع قاسم الرحال

دخل النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام خربا لبني النجار وكان يقضي فيها حاجة فخرج إلينا مذعورا أو فزعا وقال لولا أن لا تدافنوا لسألت الله تبارك وتعالى أن يسمعكم من عذاب أهل القبور ما أسمعني
