The Prophet ﷺ was at a funeral when he took a stick and began poking the ground with it. He said, "There is not one of you whose place in the Fire or in the Garden has not already been written."They said, "Messenger of Allah, shall we not then rely upon this and abandon striving?"He replied, "Work, for everyone is made easy for what he was created for. 'As for the one who gives and is mindful of Allah and affirms what is best, We shall ease him toward ease. But as for the one who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient and denies what is best, We shall ease him toward hardship.'" [Layl 92:5–10]Shuba said, Mansur bin al-Mutamir also narrated it to me, and I found nothing in it that contradicted the narration of Sulayman.
Both its chains are sahih. Shubah's statement, "Mansur bin Mutamir narrated it to me," and so on, means that Mansur narrated it to him from Saad bin Ubayda. The hadith is a repetition of 1110, and it has also already passed by two routes from Mansur, 1067 and 1068.
