Nazal bin Sabra reported,

He witnessed Ali رضي الله عنه perform the noon prayer, then sit in the open courtyard attending to people's needs. When the time for the afternoon prayer came, a vessel of water was brought to him. He took a handful of water and wiped his hands, forearms, face, head, and feet, then drank what was left of it while standing. He then said, "Some people dislike drinking while standing, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did exactly as I have done. This is the ablution of one who has not broken his ritual purity."
